Murrieta Police Officers Association & Murrieta Fire Fighters Association Supporting Chuck Washington

With the highest population and widest geographic terrain, Chuck Washington's drive to provide safe neighborhoods in Riverside County Third District has earned two more key endorsements this week. Joining the list of police and fire fighting associations, The Murrieta Police Officers Association and the Murrieta Fire Fighters Association endorsed Washington for the Supervisor 2016 November ballot.

"The Murrieta Police Officers Association is proud to support Chuck Washington in his bid for County Supervisor. Mr. Washington is a strong advocate for Public Safety and an experienced leader with a proven track record for success," stated Aaron Harwick in the endorsement.

Washington recently opposed the 2016-17 budget cuts in public safety because of the negative impact it could have on the unincorporated areas.

"The Third District has many constituents living in unincorporated areas with vast geographic boundaries . This makes it difficult to effectively patrol," Washington stated, adding, "I will continue fighting to avoid reductions in Public Safety staffing. I'm fighting to keep our communities safe!"

Washington continues to gain support from Public Safety leaders throughout Riverside County. Endorsing his candidacy in the 3rd District Supervisor race are: Riverside Sheriffs' Association, representing more than 3,200 Deputy Sheriffs, Correctional Deputies, D.A. Investigators, Probation Officers and Deputy Coroners; Riverside County Deputy District Attorneys' Association and Hemet Police Officers’ Association

Washington also has the endorsement of the Hemet City Firefighters Association, Local 2342 and CAL Fire Local 2881 Riverside District VI.

Washington, the current Riverside County 3rd District Supervisor, has served as mayor and council member for the cities of Temecula and Murrieta. The 3rd District includes the cities of Hemet, Murrieta, San Jacinto, Temecula, and unincorporated communities of Anza, Aguanga, French Valley, Idyllwild Mountain communities and Soboba Springs. He has also served on the boards of numerous community organizations including Western Riverside Council of Governments, Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission, and Habitat for Humanity of Inland Valleys.
